By accessing or using the AI4Car application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
AI4Car provides OBD2 vehicle diagnostic services enhanced with artificial intelligence analysis. Our service reads diagnostic trouble codes from your vehicle and provides AI-powered interpretations and recommendations.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of our service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
AI4Car is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. The diagnostic information provided by our service is for informational purposes only and should not be considered as professional automotive advice. Always consult a qualified mechanic for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AI4Car shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service. We are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle that may result from actions taken based on our diagnostic information. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects your mandatory consumer rights.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the service to transmit harmful content
7. Subscription and Payments
Some features of AI4Car require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy.
8. Intellectual Property
Except for third-party contributions and content identified under an open license, content, features, and functionality of AI4Car, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of AI4Car and are protected by intellectual property laws.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to our services at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending an email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Content rights and attribution
Licensing is identified per article. Adaptations of Stack Exchange contributions name the contributors, link to the original question, answers or follow-up comments, identify the applicable Creative Commons license and describe our changes. Where an article carries a CC BY-SA notice, that license governs reuse of its adapted text, including our additions. General restrictions elsewhere in these Terms do not restrict rights granted by that license. Separate images, site design and reader comments are excluded unless expressly included.
Our general educational guides are AI-assisted editorial explanations. References are not permissions to reproduce a third party’s expression. A citation, paraphrase or disclaimer by itself does not clear copyright. We do not treat Reddit posts, manufacturer manuals or publicly accessible photographs as freely licensed merely because they can be viewed online.
For future adaptations, we require an applicable license or permission for the intended use, keep a record of its scope, and preserve attribution and other required notices. If those rights cannot be established, the material must not be republished as an adaptation. Images require their own rights check. Case illustrations are AI-generated conceptual artwork, not source photographs or manufacturer diagrams.
If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, use the contact details below and provide the article URL, identification of the original work, your basis for claiming rights and a way to contact you. We will review the report and correct or remove material where appropriate. This process does not restrict remedies available under applicable law.
Editorial articles and community discussions
Our Learn articles, fault-code references, illustrations and community comments provide general educational information. They are not a vehicle inspection, a confirmed diagnosis, a manufacturer service procedure or a guarantee that a particular repair will work. Content may contain errors, omissions or information that does not apply to your vehicle.
Case articles may summarize public discussions and include AI-assisted editorial interpretation. We distinguish suggestions from outcomes reported by the original author. Votes, an accepted answer or an author-reported repair do not establish independent verification by AI4Car or prove the same cause on another vehicle. Third-party sources and commenters do not endorse AI4Car merely because they are cited.
Before acting, check the correct manufacturer documentation for the vehicle, engine and model year and consult a qualified technician. Do not continue driving when safety is uncertain or attempt work beyond your competence or equipment. Illustrations are conceptual and must not be used for component fitment, wiring or assembly decisions. These limitations do not remove rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may rate articles while signed in. Posting comments or replies requires a verified email address. We currently allow at most 10 comments and replies combined per account in any rolling 24-hour period across all articles, with additional short-term anti-spam limits. Deleting a comment does not reset the allowance. Email verification confirms account access, not mechanical expertise.
Keep discussions relevant and respectful. Do not post spam, private information, illegal content or material you do not have permission to share. You remain responsible for your contributions and grant AI4Car permission to store, display and moderate them as part of the discussion. We may remove content that violates these rules. Comments are user contributions, not advice approved by AI4Car.
