What Does P0113 Mean?
P0113 indicates that the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is sending a voltage signal indicating extremely cold air temperatures (usually below -40°F).
What This Really Means
In most cases, the sensor isn't actually detecting -40°F air - instead, there's an open circuit in the sensor or wiring causing the high voltage reading.
IAT Function
The IAT sensor helps the ECM adjust fuel mixture based on incoming air temperature. Cold air is denser and requires more fuel.
