Describe the color as accurately as you can, whether it smells unusual, how long it lasts, and whether it appears at startup, acceleration, or deceleration. A photo taken safely from outside may help a technician.
Smoke color alone cannot identify a failed component. Stop if the engine overheats, oil-pressure warning appears, or smoke is heavy enough to affect visibility.
