If you are investigating oxygen-sensor data that appears to switch, save every stored and pending code before clearing anything. Compare the signal with fuel trims and commanded conditions, not a universal voltage rule. Record the engine temperature and load alongside the reading; the same value can mean different things in different conditions.
A basic reader may not access every module. Use the scan-tool graph and service information; wideband sensors do not behave like narrowband sensors. Use the exact vehicle’s service information to interpret the result.
