If you notice oxygen-sensor data that appears to switch, capture the exact conditions instead of relying on “it happens sometimes.” Identify sensor location and sensor type before comparing its signal with another one. Save the date, mileage, and any warning message.
Repeatable notes help a technician reproduce the concern and distinguish a one-off event from a pattern. Use the scan-tool graph and service information; wideband sensors do not behave like narrowband sensors.
