To understand a misfire counter rising on one cylinder, compare it under normal, safe conditions: cold versus warm, idle versus steady speed, and light versus higher load. Record whether the count rises at idle, acceleration, or only when warm. Change one condition at a time so the result stays useful.
Do not create a risky test just to reproduce it. Inspect the relevant plug, coil connection, and recent work using the maker’s procedure.
