To understand an EVAP code that appeared after refueling, compare it under normal, safe conditions: cold versus warm, idle versus steady speed, and light versus higher load. Record whether the tank was just filled and whether the warning returned after a later drive. Change one condition at a time so the result stays useful.
Do not create a risky test just to reproduce it. Check the fuel cap seal if fitted; some vehicles use capless systems with different checks.
