To understand coolant loss noticed after highway driving, compare it under normal, safe conditions: cold versus warm, idle versus steady speed, and light versus higher load. Record the cold coolant level, trip length, speed, and any dried residue after the engine cools. Change one condition at a time so the result stays useful.
Do not create a risky test just to reproduce it. Inspect visible hoses and the reservoir for traces; a leak may only appear under pressure.
